Description
The Australian Kangaroo, the most famous bullion coin minted in Australia by the oldest mint, the Perth Mint. A silver bullion coin minted from pure silver, Ag.9999 bullion grade weighing 1 troy ounce. The coin is distinguished by its interesting reverse from the other investment coins in the series. Moreover, it has an additional security feature in the form of an engraved letter “P” on the reverse side.
The kangaroo appears, along with the Emu, in the state coat of arms of Australia and is the national symbol. It can survive for weeks without water, spends its childhood in a bag, moves around by jumping and is one of the largest mammals on Earth. The name kangaroo, from Kangaroo, was given by English settlers and comes from the Aboriginal word ‘gungurru’.
On the obverse it depicts King Charles III of Great Britain, designed by Dan Thorne. The face value of the currency and the country of issue can also be found on it. The Rewers is decorated with an image of a leaping kangaroo, with radiating rays in the background. The coin bears the inscription “KANGAROO” as well as information on the weight, year of issue and bullion proof.
